Denuvo rhymes with "fuck you, no."

I'd argue that they're more likely to morph into a patent troll if they ever do get anywhere close to their death throes.

We might even be witnessing the Genesis of that transformation now.

They have such a deep patent portfolio that they could really fuck with the whole industry.

Nintendo hates its fans. They should reap the negative PR. Problem is, way too many corporate simps.

The speedrunning community must a lil shook with the emulation strikes, lately.

Hell yes it's okay!

Canada doesn't have a server wage like the US; we don't need to import their tipping culture. Moreover, regarding tipping in general: It is the employers' responsibility to pay employees a living wage; it is not the duty of the customer to subsidize wages.

Keep that US bullshit out of this country!

Roguelikes, such as Hades. A single run won't take you longer than 30mins (and often far, far less than that – you'll die, a lot).

Every run is progress. And if you feel like you're not progressing fast enough, you can turn on "God Mode" (the protagonist is a god) and gain 2% damage reduction after each death, to make subsequent runs a little easier (no penalty in doing so, either).

Just download it from MS directly and use it unactivated (select "I don't have a key" when prompted). Why anyone would f- around with their OS, of all things....

If you care to activate, it's trivial to get a grey key or to find an activation script (though I think they patched out the script – even though MS Support themselves used it)

"Parental rights"

Code for, "my children are my property to do with as I see fit. I do not respect their agency as an individual."

Better headline: "Tech-illiterate wanks suggest having to verify your identity prior to letting you wank"

I don't mind Trudeau. A significant chunk of the electorate has grown sick of him, though. He needs to step back, or else we'll end up like Ontario with Wynne. She didn't bow out and look at who got in.

Dude, with the exception of Gamepass, Linux gaming is really easy.

If you're okay with Redhat/Fedora, using Nobara Linux (it's a spin-off, unofficial, but by the guy who does a lot of the Proton [magic compatibility sauce] stuff, GloriousEggroll, who AFAIK is a dev at RedHat) literally installs everything you need.

Steam → Steam
GoG/Epic → Heroic Launcher
Amazon/Blizzard → Lutris
Gamepass → You have to use the cloud version with Edge browser

Click, install, game.

There's only a few Anticheat PITA titles still (I believe Valorant is one) that won't work.

"Simple Questions" Thread (sh.itjust.works)

I suggest that this community should consider bringing in the "Daily Simple Questions" threads. They were fun to participate and build community. Perhaps make the threads weekly, instead of daily as the community continues to grow with Redfugees.

Don't worry about the reputation / !check system, though. Upvotes for good advice is sufficient, IMO.
