Today my working machine behaved weirdly after reboot, when I needed to make small changes fast, instead 3 hours of playing with usb drives, live isos, faulty nvme, obscure btrfs invocations. Backups would have saved me at least an hour. (I want to say that immediately after resolving those issues I've made and configured regular backups, but that would be a lie)

That's pretty specific, why is this situation awkward?

Looks alright.

How do you feel about being human pet? How repetative and boring is this kind of performance?

[–] nesc@lemmy.cafe 2 points 10 hours ago (3 children)

Is it some kind of humorous thing?

Finasteride and minoxidil actually can stop hairloss and somewhat help with re-growth. You'll grow boobs from finasteride tho. Might be a good idea to just cut it short.

Cyrilllic is bulgarian in origin, but I think this picture describes eastern asian scripts (there are other cool ones among those, like tamil).

Debian for multiple reasons doesn't even come close.

Big thing that people don't understand about Arch is that AUR is not part of distribution itself and package recipes there will break and mainteiners will go missing and arch won't care about them breaking.

Arch is extremely stable if you can read (this is not a joke). As in before doing system upgrade visit news and check if there is a need for manual steps during upgrade, you'llneed ro do something once or twice a year. And you actually need to read wiki and manual pages before doing things you aren't sure about.

As for manual step-by-step install, you can do it with almost any distro. For example you can partition disk, mount everything and install core packages using dnf --installroot=... from fedora live, same idea with debian based distros.

RHEL because it's the stable distro, Arch for being best desktop distro, Fedora for building seamless experience and being arch-lite for people that don't need arch.

It's just extremely funny, worst day for r*ssian strategic aviation ever. Achieved by: short range fpv drones and trucks

Hey, I am looking for an advice on buying my second printer. I am looking for a machine that prints every day for 10+ hours mostly without me looking at it. Which one is better for the task?

Currently I'm deciding between Bambulab A1 and Sovol sv06 ace +. They cost more or less the same in my part of the world and sovol has a bigger print volume and seemingly less scummy (to date) company behind it. While bambu is super popular and pretty reliable.

I dreamed about something like this just yesterday, is this a sign? Will we see plasma guns destroying tanks in two weeks?

I am a lot more excited by this release compared to any other "big" models. Downloading it right now. Graphs/benchmarks are a bit of suspect as they always are. What do you think?

Silly thought that stuck with me today.

Is there any explanation for achievments in universe? Like Commander has a little notebook where he counts numbers of killed krait or centaurs? 🙃

I understand that they are mostly for gameplay purposes, but in my imagination he stops at that bar in Divinity Reach once in a while and shows everyone his progress. On the other hand most of the side quests are done as collections/achievments so there must be some way for him to track these things.
