The average user doesn't work like that, also an average user does not always think he is average. There are many people thinking they are advanced, because they know where settings in Windows or Android are located. You will probably get bad reviews then emails, because quote "your app doesn't work". This comment is based on real experiences with Google Play Store and its users, thinking they know what they do.

Ich habe einmal das alte Thinkpad X1 Tablet der ersten Generation (2016) und die neueste Fortsetzung davon Thinkpad X12 detachable. Eine Zeit lang lief auf beiden Fedora Linux, aber X12 ist gerade wieder auf Windows 11. Beide sind mit den Surface-Tablets der jeweiligen Generation vergleichbar.
Ich würde das X12 sehr empfehlen, mit Stift (Wacom Protokoll), LTE und vollwertiges Betriebssystem ist es echt ein kleines Arbeitstier. Ich habe die i7 Config, wobei mir am Anfang geraten wurde, lieber i5 zu nehmen, weil der wegen Hitzeproblemen schlechter performen soll. Das konnte ich jedoch nicht bestätigen. Ich programmiere darauf (mit den hungrigen JetBrains IDEs), Arbeite of mit Photoshop und Illustrator, manchmal auch After Effects für kleine Projekte. 3D-Zeugs mit Blender klappen problemlos, solange die Szenen nicht riesig sind. Ab und zu habe ich auch das uralte CoD4 gespielt. Akkulaufzeiten sind auch okay (zw. 4-8h je nach Belastung).
Bei mir fängt demnächst die Uni wieder an und ich freue mich darauf, das Ding wieder 100% einsetzen zu können. Für handschriftliche Notizen ist es perfekt geeignet und die Größe (des Tablets) stimmt fast mit A4-Collegeblocks ein :D
Außerdem eine Frage: Was waren deine Erwartungen an Remarkable 2 und warum wurdest du enttäuscht? Ich dachte daran, es als 2. Gerät für Notizen zu holen.
Ich habe es einmal gemacht, mit meinem Tablet. Das war eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung. Ich hatte endlose Probleme. Ich glaube es ist wichtig, einen guten Anbieter zu wählen und auf die Erfahrungen anderer User zu schauen.
Im Endeffekt hatte ich ein Gerät, das angeblich geprüft und erneuert wurde, dessen Akku trotzdem alt, Touchscreen mit Ghosttouchproblemen beklagt und das eigentlich in der OV befindliche Zubehöre extra gekauft werden mussten. Eine Reparatur kostete weit über das, was ich dafür bezahlt hatte, weil das Gerät schon zu alt war (3.5 Jahre). Das einzige, was das Unternehmen dazu sagte, "tjah keine Garantie für sowas, aber wir erstatten dir aus Kulanz einen Teil des Kaufbetrages eines Ersatzteils, der auch gebraut ist". Von ~450€ habe ich 30€ zurückerstattet bekommen, nun ist das Teil ein hübscher Briefbeschwerer.

Epic was always behind Steam, if you like it or not. That Valve tries to assure its independency from other vendors (Microsoft) by creating its own OS and hardware should not be too difficult to understand as a company decision. At the meantime Epic is trying to buy its place in the market with exclusives and free games, not respecting or trying to bend other platforms rules.
I don't care where you buy your games, but I do care, which companies try to force me to their buggy, unfinished and user-unfriendly platform, for a game I was waiting to be published.

Jedoch kann ich norisbank trotzdem nicht empfehlen, weil die Basic-Features für online "Self Service" fehlen. Von einfachen Sachen, wie Push-Benachrichtigungen, bis hin zu der Darstellung des richtigen "verfügbaren Guthabens", fehlen einige Sachen. Hotline sagt seit Jahren dasselbe: "Da wir die Infrastruktur einer anderen Bank nutzen, bla bla bla."
I think people don't understand your question, or think it might be sarcastic. So to answer your question: server storage and computation power costs money. Depending on how your app's backend works, this can be cheap or very, very expensive, paid monthly or yearly. It also needs to scale with the number of your clients actively using the backend. Some of us just sit on the costs to give its users a free and ad-less experience with more functions without taking any money (by the thought "I pay for this server anyways, so why not share it"). But it costs me more, if I have more active users and I have to actively compensate this.
But there are also some greedy bastards, taking much more thinking to get rich with a single app (actually met one of this devs)
