So what's some easy game to play under influence of alcohol? Or other drugs if you are in to it. I am looking for just simple games we just had few rounds of BANG!.

Sorry I wrote this bit drunk try to decipher the meaning.

It's quite easy and microscope is unnecessary for this. Basically you spread it on petri dish and each dot (colony) originated from one cell.

This yt playlist goes quite deep in to it, you can follow it as instructions for yeast home lab.

I think there are IoT sims that can only receive SMS.

My friend wanted to make something with them (I think smart thermostat) when the internet wasn't everywhere.

Also I will probably delete it from here in a week.

Yeah it looks bad, two pictures attached, one showed here on Lemmy and covers all my screen space. Maybe I won't pin it...

The building has stone cladding and graffiti on stone has to be removed quite quickly because after a while it is nearly impossible to clean it.

Don't get me wrong it is still pr disaster and it should be handled differently, the cover of it, standing policemans around... It just gives feeling that they don't want anyone to see it (which was maybe someones intention). Leaving it visible with some press release about protecting stone buildings and cleaning it immediately afterwards would be better pr option.

I think that the biggest problem is the lack of long term thinking and planning. The polarization in politics doesn't help - every party is trying to say that it is different from the other one so even in the stuff like defense policy is so fractured across the spectrum.

And single berries macerates are good too, I did few years back something with currants and this year cherries in rum (simpler than canning them).

I didn't look that much at the Belgian beers but I thought that they go in fresh. Maybe I can try some Belgian style with cherries (in rum).

My garden, granddad's garden, what neighbors gave us...

When you have a tree or berry bush you get lots of fruit to deal with it. So it is the stuff that we got tired to make jams from or the harvest was so small that it didn't make much sense to use it otherwise.

Yes but I am still bit surprised that even the oranges we throw there just for fun got red.

I already don't know what's in it, few varieties of currants, apricots, now I added red and white grapes and some other things added during last two months I don't remember.

It got this overpowering red colour (probably from the currants) that stains everything so that's the colour it will have at the end, the smell is mostly fruity, little bit too much of a mix of everything.

So half of the jar is done another half is waiting for the fall season fruits.

So the wargaming style games takes the longest time.

It is honestly such a hard task to make complex, easy to follow mechanics and still somehow explain it to players in short amount of time. Another takeaway from this is that when player led decisions/interactions aren't easy to account for in the time estimates.

I think that another thing that is common in some games is some stalemate situations where some equilibrium with no winners is achieved and it just drags on.

Had to look at wiki about the modernization of 810.

And I wasn't entirely correct the true modernization was performed 2005-2012 basically rebuild to be the yellow RegiNova train.

Last "modernization" 2020-2024 was pretty much stopgap before they can get some new trains. Fitted new motor so AC can be fitted and new interior.

I don't know the name of the trains that are meant to replace those 70's trains. But there are options, truth is that it is just aging and is increasingly hard to maintain them in decent condition (most recent modernization was ~2015). At least here it will be replaced eventually for more modern ones, I know it is blast from past but it just doesn't matter for regular commuter.

Yes too small, too slow and on electrified tracks irrelevant. They are meant for small regional lines, not for suburban transport. It is like running trams as EC trains.

Short thread I wrote on Mastodon about the insanity of helping someone move from Zurich to Torino.

Don't want to mess with resizing pictures here so just crossposting it.

So I managed to find 80% food grade alcohol (it was harder than you might thought) and started the all season maceration.

Basically every fruit that I will get or pick I just put few pieces there and let it sit, the tasting will be at Christmas or sometime in December. First layer is red currant, I already used it for some maceration so I know it starts good.

First of all sorry I broke my phone and my backup phone can't resize pictures so I can't directly load them here.

So if some of you follow my mastodon account you know that I got to Brussels, damn 2 months not posting here and where I got.

In France I met El and she showed me a bit around the coast, we were riding together for a week there. Each of us wanted to see something bit different so we split in Nantes and I promised that I will join her in CZ to show her around. So that's what's happening now I am in train riding through Germany (not yet) and have spare time pretty much all night (I don't expect that I will get much sleep). If you have any questions about my journey don't hesitate to ask.

It was fine nothing broken but I was bit scared when I saw it.

This month photo for this regular discussion thread is from my summer trip, I visited few craft brewerys and tasted local beers.

As usual share whatever brewing related - questions, recipes, successes, bad batches...

I will be away for some time (~6 months) but should be reachable. I will travel through Europe (Spain, France, Portugal, Germany,...) when I post about this in relevant community I will link it here. Keep it chill here so I don't have to worry on road.

My last few brews turned out amazing and I am glad that I will be away and they will have time to age. Otherwise I would have drink them in few months, someone told me that ciders are best after 1-2 years of aging so finally it may get the chance to survive that long.

Edit: If you want to ask me something about my plans I posted about it on !bicycle_touring@lemmy.world

Today I and my dad opened his Christmas beer with rosemary. It is great, lighter for special beer and with notes of rosemary.

This photo is from few weeks ago when I connected with few guys for homemade cider tasting. Mine ciders will be for tomorrow, and all are great.
