@stopthatgirl7 Same. I poked around beehaw a bit, but I am not sure its is good fit for me. Think I will check out lemmy.world, they seem to be really communicative on mastodon during their upgrade process.

But that's all I know about it. I am looking into mbin,too...but I really don't much about it.

I have been spending most of my social media time on mastodon lately.

Or a thread to lemmy. Basically, how long does "federation" take?

(I am not sure if I am saying that correcly, but you know what I mean.)

Will it be Slowroll or Linarite -- or nothing at all? Programmers are conflicted about where the venerable Linux distro should go from here.

I have not noticed many spammers here on kbin. But, when I do, the way I handle it is:

  1. Reduce/Report.
  2. Do I see the same user posting spam, block user.
  3. Does it seem to come from the same domain, block domain.

On kbin, I can see and subscribe to Peertube channels, but I never seem to get any content.

I know Artemis is out there and it looks cool, but it is only for kbin.camp. Is there anything that supports kbin.social?

The biggest thing to note about the new messenger, by far, is that the developer intends to provide end-to-end encryption. More impressively, the app is intended to work with any Fediverse account.

This would make cross communication across the fediverse easier and may even interest others to join. It gives a leg up to the InstaRedFaceXTwitThreadApps since you can just use your one fediverse account.

There are definitely some open questions about how Sup works with the rest of the Fediverse. Do users just sign in to a service via an OAuth dance with their Fediverse accounts? Do the messages federate over ActivityPub? Does my server store my messages, or does just the app store those?

These questions and more would have to be answered before I signed up though.

@JoBo I just googled it and Kenya came up as the first hit in Search and in Bard.

Just wondering if anyone as taken Google's Generative AI training. I am interested in learning more (and it is free), but I was curious if it was worth the time investment.

Also, if you have taken any of Google's other training ... those experiences are welcome as well.

How is it running a kbin mag? How much time and headache? Is it worth it? Why do you it? Do you recommend doing it?

Let him. Twitter is old news. Just like reddit. Irrelevant.

Came for the UI. Stayed for the granular settings (including turning federation on and off) and the content just seemed higher quality (though that is very subjective)
