I think it's because they died mostly due to ignorance and seeming idiocy, instead of malicious intent, cruelty or something of the like. It's hard to have empathy for someone who took such a big risk for the enjoyment of the experience (like an extreme rollercoaster). Others who are more aware will immediately recognise the sheer danger of such an activity. They all accepted that risk. The fact that they could afford such an activity implies they were probably loaded.

Cheese was one of our main obstacles toward cutting out dairy. I came across a vegan cheese sauce recipe that utilizes blended steamed potatoes & carrots for the texture and nutritional yeast and other spices for the flavor. Been using it for a few years now and haven't looked back yet.

Because those are the types actions of people who use hate as a tool (same as Kissinger did). You can ask the same about Trump and why he hasn't been assassinated yet (I know, apples and oranges). But what I'm trying to say is that people who are against such attrocities usually don't prefer violence as a means to any end. Just my opinion on the matter.
