Because fuck paying tickets.

I make a warm mug of Ovaltine®. But with coffee instead of milk. It's... effective.

Yeah, I'm convinced they are actively trying to get some ICE killed so they can take the kid gloves off and go full occupying force.

And monkeys might fly out my butt.

See you in the mod logs.

Yeah, we know. And then posted it as real news like a choad. Fuck off.

[–] seathru@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 1 week ago (14 children)

That totally legitimizes it; thanks!

What else ya got?

Mall cops have better handcuffing skills than these chucklefucks. Do they literally have zero training?

"I am a terrible person, I could have ended this at any point. I was always in control."

Except you really couldn't. I liked the game until I tried to replay it to make different choices, and realized you are literally on rails. Your options are be a terrible person or lay down and die.

Keeps the 'skeeters out.

I'm about to have to replace my trusty Miller 225 mig welder. I think I would like a TIG for finer detail welding. I rarely weld anything thicker than 1/8". But I'm on a mac-n-cheese budget right now. Are any of the sub $500 TIG machines actually worth it?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. My current gaming setup is a Intel I7-4790k, 32Gb ram and a RTX 2080 Super. I came across a AMD Threadripper 1920x, mobo, 64Gb ram for free basically.

Is that worth the time/effort to swap over? It seems to me it would be, but when I search around for info I get conflicting opinions. So any input/insight is appreciated.

Edit: Thank y'all very much! I think I was overthinking single threaded performance.

Found this in the attic of a house built a few years before Oklahoma's statehood. Looks old, but also looks like a reproduction of something old. It's at least old enough to be super brittle and has tannin staining on the back where it was mounted to a piece of wood for a LONG time.

Lil' Smokies doesn't come out too often. She's usually in her attic lair being antisocial.

Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked recently but I can't find it while searching.

Are there any web based lemmy clients (like alexandrite) out there that allow post filtering by keyword? I'm not as concerned about filtering comments, but that would be nice as well.

And if it has to be an app, any suggestions for a linux desktop?

PC A and B are running Fedora 41, both on the same local network. I used to be able to use KRDC to remote desktop from PC A to B. After letting both PCs update a couple weeks ago, it's no longer working. When I try, I get the username and password prompt. But after entering, I get a "Could not connect to server" error in KRDC. I get the following errors in the terminal:

KRDC: Starting RDP session

Unfortunately I don't know what update broke it. I just hit 'update all' and walked away. Thanks for any help. Also open to suggestions on any better remote desktop programs.

After seeing articles about this I checked my cat's microchip on www.aaha.org no registration info comes back. Savethislife was a major pet registry in the US.

Main heat isn't working until the repair guy hopefully comes tomorrow. Supposed to be in the 20's (F) tonight; hope 3 cats and a (electric) blanket are enough.

spoiler explanation

Edit: Heat is fixed. I'll miss you cats.

Mutually Assured Destruction

Looks like he's getting lined up on a bun sized starting gate.

Moving soon, gonna miss you buns. While I'm pretty sure I could catch them all. I don't think moving in then releasing a bunch of wild rabbits into the neighborhood is a good way to say hello.
