is the basic arch CLI commands any different from discord bots? it feels easier to use if you think its same as playing with a discord bot. using CLI isnt some kind of programming

the arch experience is weirdly weird honestly. arch is not hard to use, the wiki documentations are pretty extensive. but still there are people who dont even know how to use a wiki. what people needs to do is not learn how to use arch, but learn how to change their perspective on arch instead

this guy is so damn right i cant argue. arch isnt hard to use, whats hard is experiencing different things and learning

just saying, im not that person reposting from another account. all i want is switch to decentralized or federated platforms and still connect with friends. i dont want my posts seen by strangers

its kind of hard you know to convince people to use this and that socials. bluesky is popular among the socials i use, so i am likely to find my friends using it as well. i dont use/like facebook, instagram, x/twitter, reddit anymore. i cannot convince all my friends to start using mastodon, pixelfed, lemmy and others. most of us has bluesky installed already

the title says it mostly. back when i was on twitter, i could make my account posts visible only to followers. people could follow me if only i approved them. its useful if you want to interact only with family or irl acquaintances on the platform.
