Right. I like 16:9 too but also enjoy 4:3 a lot. Content can be improved using either depending on the shots. I don't get how ones better than the other though I'll admit widescreen does seem more versatile. I don't like how these things are viewed as linear upgrades. Reminds me of when 3D games started coming out. We've come back around to 2D but for awhile many people viewed these things as a linear progression.

It made more sense on forums and imageboards but how it became popular on a site with built in voting I'll never understand. Just people looking for attention and validation I guess.

It might be overkill but Sunshine is the best remote desktop experience I can find on Linux. I used Splashtop on Windows and couldn't find a single thing that actually competed with it's performance until I found Sunshine.

How would you compare nova to neo, analytics aside? Is it far enough along to be a practical competitor?

STEINS;GATE and Higurashi are both great. It really depends on the genre you want though.
