you don't have to tell me information about why Rui's drive is gone, I just googled it because I forgot their name (I thought it was Anadius' drive at first)

See this is why I love Valve. At least their hardware and the great support for open source software (Linux, Wine/Proton).

No, I don't agree with everything they do in regards to Steam. I know that it sucks, that you can't truly own your games nowadays, but at least Valve supports an OS that lets you truly own your hardware and have control over your software. And they do it, by providing open source software (Proton) with no strings attached (free software license) that lets you play games on this exact FOSS OS.

Bitwarden can't be compared to KeePassXC. Bitwarden is fundamentally built around a sync server, whereas KeePass is meant to exclusively operate locally. These are two very different fundamental concepts for, you know, how to actually store and access your passwords.

Use LibreX or a fork called LibreY, it's a JS-free proxy for Google search

There's a list of instances at https://librey.org/instances.php

Something similar exists for DuckDuckGo btw, it's called 4get

Or you can just use SearXNG, a meta search engine that aggregates results from multiple sources

I don't get why y'all are so mad about this. As long as the features are optional and I can easily turn them off in the settings, they don't bother me at all.

Because it's Google's proprietary garbage app. Use FOSS alternatives from F-Droid instead.

The story isn't nearly as dramatic as it seems. Maybe this thread can offer some nuance: https://grapheneos.social/@GrapheneOS/112967309987371034

You can actually unlock LUKS from another machine over SSH: https://www.cyberciti.biz/security/how-to-unlock-luks-using-dropbear-ssh-keys-remotely-in-linux/

I'm pretty happy with this solution

I found this magnet link on Bitsearch:

I'm so glad I found this, and I will re-listen to many of the episodes. I currently just have the entire archive stored on my phone, listening to it through the 'local folder' feature in AntennaPod. Will soon move this to my self-hosted Audiobookshelf server.

Sign the petition! Not sure if it is going to make any difference, but it just takes a couple of minutes. https://www.change.org/p/let-readers-read-an-open-letter-to-the-publishers-in-hachette-v-internet-archive
