The whole point of being in jail, is to learn of your mistakes and not do it again. If you die, you don't learn anything. The others do but that way of someone learning is quite cruel and not fitting in a democracy because fear is undemocratic.

People using whatever they want on their devices. Everything converges into one of everything (eg. Chrome). Yes calling that lack of freedom of expression is a bit of a stretch but when you comsider how much reliance people have on this software, it becomes clear that people don't have much freedom of using whatever they want to fulfill an ethical consumption lifestyle. Everything is locked down and nobody cares... That is a problem.
