The law only applies when it's actually enforced by the judiciary. And the Christian theocrats have been infiltrating school boards and government bodies for decades to try to violate the separation to privilege their denomination above all others. Usually advocacy groups like the ACLU or satanic temple will try to contest the change in law or use it to show they can't violate the establishment clause without violating the first amendment of the US Constitution.

Is this like the affidavit Comer told the public on Fox 'news' was evidence of Biden committing a crime, then realizing it was misinformation fed to him by a Russian operative he completely fell for?

Just another reminder of the hypocrisy that Russia receives weapons and munitions from several countries and doesn't restrict their use in Ukraine territory the way Ukraine has been restricted with NATO supplied weapons.

What behaviors of Larry Ellison is it going to help change? Hoarding wealth to the detriment of society? Attacking the tech sector with their army of lawyers? AI monitoring billionaires sounds strange, but I'm willing to see how it goes.

Two and a half years into a 3 day invasion and Russia wants to attack NATO countries in retaliation for Ukraine using weapons gifted to them at their full capabilities after themselves receiving additional weapons from Iran they use without restraint? It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for them.

After a school shooting in Iowa last January:

"So surprising to see it here. But, we have to get over it. We have to move forward." -Trump

So he should take his own advice and get over it.

Cancel subscriptions when you sign up, fuck auto renewals and save some money if there's a gap before the next time you need or use the service, and gives you a chance to consider if it's worth the money or ethical concerns when manually renewing subs.

Been listening to a few lately, a few John Carpenter's, Mayhem was pretty out there, looking for more that are interesting or wildly off topic or entertaining.

"In these times of darkness and hopelessness, we wish to share a strong message of solidarity and recognition to those Palestinian journalists who are covering this crisis in such dramatic circumstances. As humanity, we have a huge debt to their courage and commitment to freedom of expression," said Mauricio Weibel, Chair of the International Jury of Media Professionals.

Just trying to live with as little advertising as possible and curious what tips or tricks the community has aside from moving out to a cabin in the woods.

I can't really get away from road side advertising for now. Public sporting events are completely infected, and for the ads I am forced to see I try to make a conscious effort not to buy their goods or services. I won't subscribe to a streaming service if they have a sub+ad tier, if they're separate free with ads or sub no ads I'll support it.

Not really for any moral stance, but ad blockers are good at avoiding malware and some services are basically broken if you have to wait for an ad network, and I just feel mentally healthier in general without the extra propaganda.
