I think I get what you're saying but it's very nuanced. The same things I've surprised friends with are suddenly romantic when I surprise my partner with them.

It's had the opposite effect for me, in the past when I'd catch myself doom scrolling I had only pulled the phone out to make sure I hadn't missed a message and then just didn't put it back down.

Now I'll just glance at the watch and see if it's important or not.

Ok, I know what you meant, but is armed resurrection regrowing a severed limb or coming back to life with a couple of AKs?

The idea is that the light is small and close. It doesn't need to go over the horizon to disappear in the distance.

I'm not sure how they explain the random pattern the light would need to travel for different seasons or why it looks so massive as it rises or sets.

If this was truly a condemnation of pedophilia then why is it limited to male children?

I think the verse in Deut you quoted explains it nicely. A female was just another man's property and as long as they aren't married "rape" was just claiming them. If the women was married both were put to death.

In the end I don't put much stock in this just being a mistranslation as the precedent seems to be homosexuality was sinful, but the argument did have a little more logic behind it than I thought it would when I first read the headline.

Even there it uses two separate words. I thought it was a weird stretch until I actually read into it.

Jesus died so we don't need priests anymore 😊

Love that the creator of the universe is so fucking proud that it has to hurt itself in some weird masochistic ritual rather than admit that the creation wasn't perfect.

LTS releases get more and more attractive with age.

Different textbox, same text.

That's awful. For a long time they were the only ones offering over 100m in my area, I hated the asymmetrical speeds but at least the service was reliable. Jumped ship as soon as fiber came to the area.

The journey went: disappointment with God, angry at God, apathetic, agnostic, then atheist. I considered myself agnostic for a long time but it always felt a bit like a compromise for me, like it's more palatable to think "Oh, I just don't know one way or another" over seeing god as a stopgap for holes in knowledge.

Rather than the approach of attributing less and less to the divine over time, I decided to attribute nothing and go from there.

Saying that one can't disprove god's existence feels the same to me as saying a watermelon is blue inside until it's observed.

Thanks for your perspective!

Been using bitwarden for a couple years now and love it. The autofill was always super inconsistent on Chrome but works great for me on Firefox.
