In Menden im Sauerland ist die Wohnung einer 17-Jährigen zu unrecht durchsucht worden. WDR-Recherchen zeigen: Es gab keinen stichhaltigen Verdacht. Der rechtswidrige Beschluss kam vom Amtsgericht Arnsberg. Pikant: Die Direktorin ist die Ehefrau des Bundeskanzlers, Charlotte Merz.

It's still Sunday so I'm not late!

I have a different exercise for next time around but I've got the entire emotion regulation module to worry about writing that one up. In the meantime here's something to vibe to. The audio on these kinds of things can vary in enjoy-ability so my recommendation is to mute it and put on some lofi or jazz or classical or whatever else your vibe is. It's like the mindfulness version of watching smut!

Still working on these lyrics:

We were good you know, in the beginning
Safe inside the light of one another’s heart
Life was beautiful and love was easy
(And another line that maybe rhymes with heart)

All those little moments have become our memories now
But what was us has broken into me and you
We both know that it’s over, though we haven’t said it yet
And I’ll go on pretending if you say you love me still

And we’ll be fine
Just for today I’ll go on living if you say
We'll be okay

I'd really love your feedback. (e: formatting)

The Linux Kernel Runtime Guard (LKRG), maintained under the Openwall project, has officially reached version 1.0, more than seven years after its first public release in 2018.

If you are not familiar with it, LKRG is a kernel module that acts as a security layer for the Linux kernel. Its main job is to monitor the kernel while it’s running and catch anything that looks suspicious or unsafe.

For example, if an attacker tries to exploit a kernel vulnerability by overwriting kernel credentials or altering kernel memory, LKRG can detect that behavior. When it finds something abnormal, it can log it, kill the offending process, or take other defensive measures depending on its configuration.

I appreciate that ProtonVPN offers ipv6 support for their linux client, however my home internet (Tmobile) doesn't work at all when ipv6 is turned on

So I have to turn it off via settings:

IPv6 Tunnels IPv6 traffic through the VPN. Can enhance compatibility with IPv6 networks.

My question is, does turning it off post any privacy risk, e.g. IPv6 leak? or compatibility issues in general?

Thanks!

Critics warn the change to Medicaid will be particularly harmful to rural hospitals struggling to stay afloat.

Donald Trump’s new tax and spending law will likely force more than half the states to reduce payments to doctors and hospitals that treat Medicaid patients, a change critics warn will be particularly harmful to rural hospitals struggling to stay afloat.

Medicaid, the joint state-federal health insurance program for low-income people, reimburses doctors, hospitals and nursing facilities for treating enrollees. But in many cases, the program doesn’t fully cover the cost of care, straining providers that serve a large share of Medicaid patients.

To help providers cover losses and continue to serve poorer populations, the federal government allows the 41 states, plus the District of Columbia, that have contracted with Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) to run their Medicaid programs to direct them to pay providers more — in some cases, as much as commercial plans.

Seriously, Reddit has banned me several times for "breaking rules" but never tells me exactly what I did to deserve the ban, whereas I see that Lemmy will tell you in the modlog what you did.
