I played this game so much back in the day. It was one of the few sites not blocked by my school and I thought the idea of having so many action points to use in a given day was really cool. Usually played as a zombie as it is very fun to break down a barricade and deal a bunch of damage. The community is mostly gone but it still might be worth checking out if your into login daily games!

Every now and again you run across a game trailer and you are instantly sold. I knew I would love this game the moment I saw it and the 6 hours I put in yesterday proved me right. I wasn't expecting all the Berserk references but they fit very well. Excited to play more today but I'm worried I'll beat the game before I'm ready to say goodbye. If you are in the mood for a turn based RPG I suggest checking it out!

I remember seeing this in Nintendo Power back in the day. I've got a hunch that url doesn't work anymore.

Somone suggested aliensrock here recently and I have been watching his vids nonstop. I've always ignored puzzle games but seeing him showoff a game combining my two loves of scifi and fictionalized religion turned me around. The series is 100% worth a watch.

I was reading a book recently that featured a buglike alien race that had a fear of not being surrounded by others of their kind, requiring their spaceships to be bursting with crew members. It got me thinking about what their games might be like and I had a few ideas for human games they might like

  1. Pokemon

Im specifically thinking of the early games but later ones are pretty much the same. Everywhere you go in Pokemon their is someone to talk to. The towns have npcs all over inside and out and every route has people from forest trails to the deepest mountain caves.

  1. Dynasty Warriors

The crowds in these games are less friendly but if you have a fear of not being in a crowd this game will help you. Massive amounts of enemies swarm you during every battle.

  1. Final Fantasy X

I wanted to mention this one for a specific reason. You could answer this question with any rpg that has npcs to talk to. I would say what puts FFX as more "crowded" than the rest is the pilgramage setting. Other games with the same locations would just have monsters, but due to it being a location on a pilgrim trail you see a lot of other people passing through. Areas that could be easily shown as empty/barren instead have an npc to talk to

I'm very curious, what games felt crowded to you? Do you prefer games with lots of other people around, or do you like to go where no one has gone before?

Cool collection of retro consoles! I've never owned a MAC so the apple 1 inspired one is very cool to me.

Had to have a bit of a cull when I changed my job (significantly less time to listen), but thanks for the 35 minute commute I still find time for three or four podcasts a week.

My favourite Videogame ones are:

Besties

The Games Press
