I feel bad for the fans in Arizona, but I think it's time. I also think the NHL will be back at some point. They'll give it another go like in Atlanta, and who knows, maybe they'll be more successful.

Not sure how important this is to most people, but I'm a bit of a jersey nerd and this has a lot of important information regarding the upcoming switch to Fanatics as the official NHL uniform designer.

Retail pricing, a new Pro version that offers a true on-ice feel and more besides. Definitely worth a watch if you're looking at picking up a jersey in the next year or two.

Second time this season no? And with my Leicester side, and Forest also catching heat it looks like the Premier League is taking this stuff very seriously.

I'm thinking that no, it doesn't. Which begs the question of why we do it? Is it a psychological thing?

Lots of talk across season one about the opening credits. How do we feel about them?

Personally, I'm a big fan of them using the iconic music, and I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot barge pole.

The actual visuals? Utterly perplexing to me, and I say that as someone who's familiar with the source material. I understand what they were going for but I think everything is a bit hard to parse.

It's been a fun four years since I last had to have these around the house....but alas it's time to bring the potty out once more.

Hopefully he takes to it as well as his sister. I am not confident.

Although not very handy for me because I live in the midlands. I didn't want to see it anyway. Nope. Looks like another evening of sitting on social media and regretting my life choices. Sigh.

For example, switching out the word 'boot' for 'trunk', or ditching the word 'rubbish' for 'garbage'.

This is something I've noticed my 6 year old does pretty regularly. We went through a stage where 'sweets' became 'candy', 'holiday' became 'vacation' and 'courgette' became 'zucchini'.

That last one didn't happen but if you're still reading you've got my respect, or as the Americans might say '...mad props'.

Morning all. It's Monday morning which can mean but one thing....What have you been playing this last week?

This is something I've always struggled with and I think it's put my daughter in a spot where she's very reluctant to do anything by herself.

Don't get me wrong, she plays well with others and her younger brother, but when he's not available she basically just wants to play with me rather than going off on her own and playing by herself.

Now I don't mind, but I wouldn't mind a bit of...not playing time but also I'm worried it's going to affect her going down the line.

Thoughts?

How has your week been? How are the kids? What's going on and what have you got planned?

Welcome to Saturday Moanings, your safe place to vent, moan and otherwise just....have a good whine about the world, your household and everything in between.

But business groups said more needed to be done to get more people into work amid concerns over the UK's long-term weak economic growth.

Hmmm. Maybe better pay, better conditions and improvements to our work/life balance could do the trick here....nah it's the workers who are lazy.

I'm 35.

I left school at 16. Did a year at collage before deciding it wasn't for me. I then spent a year doing nothing. Not totally unusual for a 17/18 year old. I then spent 15 years working for the same company, without any gaps in my employment.

To say I was surprised when the interviewer asked about the gap in my resume from 15 years previous when I'm a 34 year old would be an understatement; it was literally half a lifetime ago.

Fifteen years at the same company bro, that's the important part of that résumé, not the 8 months that a 17 year old kid had off. Fuck me.

The problem here isn't that libraries need to stop catering to parents with young kids, it's that they've not set up an appropriate space, or time for these little kids to come visit.

My local library (and lots in the UK) have a designated time for things like group reading and kids corner sessions. That way they're not disturbing random folks just trying to get about their day, and they're also giving what can be a vital space for young children to discover books, and parents to interact with other parents.

Sounds to me like your library is failing to enforce it's own rules.

At what point do we have to have a serious conversation about just what sort of work we can expect a 70 year old to be able to do?

It's all well and good raising the retirement age, but eventually you'll get to a point where you've got people who are simply unemployable because of their age.

No one has any idea what they're doing.

I'm 35. I've got two kids. I make it up as I go along. There's no plan, no blueprint. There's just the day to day crap that life has for us all. I wake up, I go to work and my only real aim is to get home to my kids and partner.

If you're forced to rent because you can't get on the housing ladder, you should be allowed to have an animal as a pet. Full stop. That's the sentence.

If the landlord doesn't like that it may affect their investment, well... sometimes investments go bad. Might I suggest selling the house and investing in a market that isn't built around the exploitation of regular people trying to not die on the street.

Just sayin'.

Can't wait to not be able to buy one of these for the next five years.

I'll tell my youngest child the bad news I guess. He's gotta go.

Looks like the Dev is looking to add a lifetime option and an option to remove ads in the future.
