Jack Smith's resignation plans are another confirmation of the president-elect’s abiding ability to escape legal and political accountability.

For now, theres still a chance for him to share the same ending as any of his heroes. Maybe he can go out like the other man with a gang of blackshirted goons on a leash.

If we look at the actuarial tables for known rapists and convicted felons who are elected to be the leader of the most powerful nation to ever exist, he's going to die of advanced old age on a throne of gold while underage concubines tickle his flaccid genitals. There is no justice.

I bet every shit he’s taken for the last forty years has been unpleasant at least

If only he could do the same thing as his idol. The greatest thing Hitler did was kill Hitler. I wish Trump would follow.

[-] Ledivin@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

I don't think Trump can kill Hitler

[-] Alenalda@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

It's hyperbolic to compare trump to Hitler at this point, but it could easily get to a point where the common usage comparing something to Hitler changes to trump. In that event you could say he killed Hitler.

But Hitler didn't do it on a whim. He had a decade of power, inflicted horrific pain on millions of people, caused a world war.... He killed himself only once the war was lost and he didn't want to face consequences.

Trump will not have the same trajectory because the US army is the most funded in the world.

And there's no feasible future where he faces consequences of any sort.

Hitler thought his army was the most advanced army in the world as well.

They lost after one war.

A man can dream though... A man can dream... :/

Idk, I think I'd prefer if Trump followed Mussolini's example instead.
