When the best hope we can offer is continued destruction and death, that’s not optimism. Between USAID, Gaza, and Ukraine, not to mention the cuts at home to the welfare state, the Trump administration is guilty of mass death. The gutting of environmental regulations and “drill baby drill”, mass environmental damage. You can’t bring people back from the dead, it takes a long time to take carbon out of the air.
