Still learning where to find stuff, and unfortunately most of "my" subreds aren't here (yet), but it looks promising and will continue to support.

you can also create any community you are missing. If you use the same name as the reddit community then people will be more likely to find it and contribute.

When I created a lemmy community (sub-lemmy) nearly 2 years ago on lemmy.world, I remember becoming the mod instantly.
Maybe I am mistaken, or maybe different instances have different policies.
