Well, you see, the word colony actually has a meaning. See this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colony You might notice that even wikipaedia does not list is as a colony on its map.

As it is not separated from metropolitan France in terms of government, it is not a colony, since it is a fully integrated part of the state. It is not exploited in any way whatsoever, and the majority of residents want absolutely nothing to change.

There are two MPs from French Guiana, one for every 100000 people, same as everywhere else in France. It will probably be three soon, it seems.

Wikipedia isn’t a definitive resource for defining literally anything. I would not be using it to demonstrate anything of this nature.

How did Guyana become part of France? Oh that’s right French people came over and colonized it. The people of Guyana didn’t request that the French come over and take their lands and exploit the populations there…

France is/was an imperialist nation and they never gave that attitude up.

Well, regardless of what wikipedia says this is what a colony is.

You see, it was a colony, but now it is not.

What is the problem? The people in Guiana are fine with being a part of France. Do you want to invade them and force them to leave?
