Summary

Minnesota Republican state Sen. Justin Eichorn, who introduced a bill classifying "Trump Derangement Syndrome" as a mental illness, was arrested for allegedly soliciting sex from a minor.

Police say Eichorn believed he was meeting a 16-year-old girl but was actually texting undercover officers. His arrest came just a day after he and four other Republican senators introduced the controversial bill.

Eichorn, who is married with four children, was booked into jail and will be transferred to the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center.

I believe you completely about all these checks and balances

This isn't a "checks and balances" thing. The Governor of Minnesota has the authority to order actual military firepower, like tanks and helicopters, to maintain order at the facility.

What makes you think Walz would be any different?

Hochul is a corrupt hack, Walz is not.

Tim Walz is not going to mobilize the military to stop one pedophile politician from getting released. Didn’t you just criticize my arguments for being unrealistic? I provided a real, contemporary example of what I’m arguing about. All you’ve done is project some noble fantasy onto a governor you probably had no idea existed until he became Harris’ running mate.
