A question for the garden-savvy folk…
These have sprouted in a garden bed where there was nothing like this before. I think they might have come in mulch or compost I got from Bunnings. Are they weeds, or should I keep them? Checking because I’m having enough trouble with pellitory and don’t want more weeds to deal with.
Might be:
Elephant's-ear
Giant taro
Cunjevoi
They sort of all look the same (to me anyway). I have one very similar to yours and it gets quite big with enough water.
Thanks! I’ll investigate further :-)
This site might help.

I was struggling to work out what mine was and still confused lol.
That’s fantastic, thank you!
E: think I’ve narrowed it down to an alocasia or colocasia - they all look very similar
same
they are the devil to get rid of , just a small fragment will grow into a big plant
but if you like them that's cool
If they turn out to be elephant ear and you don’t want them, you can dig them up and sell them, I’ve seen them on marketplace.
That’s an idea
