The weather has definitely turned, Miss Meow is back to curling in her basket.

Coming down with a sore throat. This is a big week trying to cram in the assignments that I procrastinated on last week. Hoping it doesn't get worse. I already don't feel capable of writing anything in my normal state

My Opa caught a black rat with the trap he uses for Indian Mynas πŸ˜‚

cute!

I gave it some grape stalks lol. Of course it is a pest so he's gonna gas it with the car exhaust tomorrow. Sad but necessary. I told him to wear gloves and whatnot, zoonotic diseases and all that. I hate how cute it is though. I quadruple checked it wasn't a bush rat - the tail length gives it away.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 points 17 minutes ago

that tail 😬

Snuggle in bed time lol

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 5 points 2 hours ago

Ugh. Melbcat and I both took painkillers and spent the day in bed. I'm feeling sick and the pain has been unreal.

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 9 points 3 hours ago (4 children)

I'm hungry but the time is wrong :(

[–] imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 3 points 2 hours ago

I am about to have a shower and go to bed.

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 6 points 3 hours ago

Same here.

I’m having a cup a soup to occupy myself.

[–] Grackle@aussie.zone 5 points 3 hours ago

Long live nanna dinner. Love being done with my kitchen by 6pm.

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 3 points 3 hours ago

I’m eating early.

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 9 points 4 hours ago

It is really ruff out there today.

Haven't seen it like that in a while.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 7 points 4 hours ago (2 children)

today was a jellyfish kind of day

Did not make it back home before the rain. Washing now in dryer - boo.

[–] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 6 points 4 hours ago

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 8 points 6 hours ago

Just got back from the Seymour farm expo so the boys could see 'Daddy work'. They enjoyed climbing on all the tractors and lawnmowers, and looking at the animals

What do people call $2 shops these days? Seeing as that doesn’t really apply anymore. You know the ones I mean, they have gift wrap, plastic tubs, party goods, little ornaments, random stuff and there’s at least one in every suburb. The Bunnings of the people.

[–] Catfish@aussie.zone 1 points 1 hour ago

Crazy crap store

[–] dumblederp@aussie.zone 4 points 4 hours ago

Still $2 shop.

Does anyone know what these are called?

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 3 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Have never seen before. Looks like pikelets stuck together with jam?

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 points 4 hours ago

You are right. They're a Japanese sweet called dorayaki.

[–] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 7 points 8 hours ago

Done my market run

Why yes, I do believe I'll nap and think about all the times last week I was desperate for more sleep lol

[–] Catfish@aussie.zone 12 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

And the Bond on the old joint has come through. One utterly scathing RE review to compose for Purple Pingers 😺

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 4 points 6 hours ago

I love how he's running for parliament and they're using his username for it

[–] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 8 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Just applied for a postal vote as I’m going to be interstate on election day. I am a whole grown up

[–] Eagle@aussie.zone 6 points 9 hours ago

Just did mine too.

Vanilla yogurt cheater’s pancakes (no eggs in the house!) with cardamom-pistachio sugar and apricots. Not seen in shot - coffee

I have packed another box.

I really don't like this whole packing thing. Why have we not yet invented teleportation so I can just beam it all over as is?

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 7 hours ago

i am still unpacking πŸ«₯

Multifunction flowers. Happy Birthday me, and Vale Madame. It will be an odd day.

Not a secret any more ... Vale Kerry Greenwood OAM

lego flowers

[–] StartWin@reddthat.com 3 points 2 hours ago

Oh no! Kerry Greenwood read my self published novel a few years back and said some very nice things and even let me quote her. Rereading her emails had been a great boost in confidence as I struggled with writing more things. And she was very kind (and funny) in the small exchange we had. I had planned on sending her the sequel at the end of this year. This is very sad news. Condolences to you and hers.

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 3 points 6 hours ago

Happy birthday. Remember to top those up with clear blue studs or they'll fall to pieces

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 2 points 5 hours ago

Happy Birthday!

bit close to home

Guessing they chose to swim at the front beach which is where that piccy I took of a wave hitting the sea wall on Fri. is.

Was rough.

And that's why we go to the dog beach about 1km away further in the bay when it's like that.

Silly (and lucky) people.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 7 hours ago

omg, that's terrifying

and so glad no one was lost
