The weather has definitely turned, Miss Meow is back to curling in her basket.

Adoption Certificate for Nellie, the Daily Thread numbat (with thanks to @Catfish)
Coming down with a sore throat. This is a big week trying to cram in the assignments that I procrastinated on last week. Hoping it doesn't get worse. I already don't feel capable of writing anything in my normal state
My Opa caught a black rat with the trap he uses for Indian Mynas π
cute!
I gave it some grape stalks lol. Of course it is a pest so he's gonna gas it with the car exhaust tomorrow. Sad but necessary. I told him to wear gloves and whatnot, zoonotic diseases and all that. I hate how cute it is though. I quadruple checked it wasn't a bush rat - the tail length gives it away.
that tail π¬
Snuggle in bed time lol
Ugh. Melbcat and I both took painkillers and spent the day in bed. I'm feeling sick and the pain has been unreal.
I'm hungry but the time is wrong :(
I am about to have a shower and go to bed.
Same here.
Iβm having a cup a soup to occupy myself.
Long live nanna dinner. Love being done with my kitchen by 6pm.
Iβm eating early.
It is really ruff out there today.
Haven't seen it like that in a while.
today was a jellyfish kind of day
eee jelly
Did not make it back home before the rain. Washing now in dryer - boo.
Done my gyme
Just got back from the Seymour farm expo so the boys could see 'Daddy work'. They enjoyed climbing on all the tractors and lawnmowers, and looking at the animals
What do people call $2 shops these days? Seeing as that doesnβt really apply anymore. You know the ones I mean, they have gift wrap, plastic tubs, party goods, little ornaments, random stuff and thereβs at least one in every suburb. The Bunnings of the people.
Crazy crap store
Still $2 shop.
Shit shop.
variety store
It's warmer outside than inside the house.
Fleece hoodie is out.
so it is
Does anyone know what these are called?
Dorayaki
Thank you.
Have never seen before. Looks like pikelets stuck together with jam?
You are right. They're a Japanese sweet called dorayaki.
Done my market run
Why yes, I do believe I'll nap and think about all the times last week I was desperate for more sleep lol
And the Bond on the old joint has come through. One utterly scathing RE review to compose for Purple Pingers πΊ
I love how he's running for parliament and they're using his username for it
Just applied for a postal vote as Iβm going to be interstate on election day. I am a whole grown up
Just did mine too.
Vanilla yogurt cheaterβs pancakes (no eggs in the house!) with cardamom-pistachio sugar and apricots. Not seen in shot - coffee
I have packed another box.
I really don't like this whole packing thing. Why have we not yet invented teleportation so I can just beam it all over as is?
i am still unpacking π«₯
Multifunction flowers. Happy Birthday me, and Vale Madame. It will be an odd day.
Not a secret any more ... Vale Kerry Greenwood OAM
Oh no! Kerry Greenwood read my self published novel a few years back and said some very nice things and even let me quote her. Rereading her emails had been a great boost in confidence as I struggled with writing more things. And she was very kind (and funny) in the small exchange we had. I had planned on sending her the sequel at the end of this year. This is very sad news. Condolences to you and hers.
Happy birthday. Remember to top those up with clear blue studs or they'll fall to pieces
Happy Birthday!
Guessing they chose to swim at the front beach which is where that piccy I took of a wave hitting the sea wall on Fri. is.
Was rough.
And that's why we go to the dog beach about 1km away further in the bay when it's like that.
Silly (and lucky) people.
omg, that's terrifying
and so glad no one was lost
