An email recently released by the whistleblowing organization WikiLeaks shows how the Clinton campaign and Democratic Party bear direct responsibility for propelling the bigoted billionaire to the White House.

Cool, does WikiLeaks have any other emails from the 2016 DNC?

[–] Seasm0ke@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Probably? Is there a point or just whataboutism

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

The point is WikiLeaks produced the DNC email leaks after being given them by russia, which spawned the "grassroots" Qanon pizzagate theory that swung a lot of formerly sane people into extremism and if you're using that leak as the source for the DNC screwing over Bernie, it's important to have the full context.

[–] Seasm0ke@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Sure, and ill add that Sanders made similar allegations and the emails were verified. [Shultz stepped down over them].(https://www.foxnews.com/politics/wasserman-schultz-to-step-down-as-dnc-chairwoman-amid-email-fallout) it is not a conspiracy, it is a fact.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

Absolutely the fact that DWS altered the rules to benefit Hillary is a fact.

So is WikiLeaks' conspiring with russia to support trump. Also a fact.

Second link:

NPR (2022)-Democrats are buying ads supporting far-right GOP primary candidates, in the hopes of facing them in the general election — a strategy that former Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri tried in 2012.

Nothing to do with Clinton, fwiw

[–] Seasm0ke@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

NPR went 4 extra years back, but Clintons campaign did it for trump in 2016. It is the same pied Piper strategy

[–] its_prolly_fine@sh.itjust.works -1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Ick. It seems to be an issue with the DNC/her campaign though. I didn't see any evidence of this coming from her. Which isn't much better, either she didn't know or just chose to do nothing. All because the DNC was left vulnerable to financial influence because they were in debt from Obama. They needed all that funding to get a reasonable human being in office. Uggggggh it always just boils down to money. God I wish Bernie had been president. He would have worked to get the rich out of our government. I gotta take a break from this, it's just fucking depressing

[–] Seasm0ke@lemmy.world 7 points 6 days ago (2 children)

We also could have had Bernie but Debbie Wasserman Shultz rigged the primary and got away with it.

Democrats are not a viable alternative to fascism, they have been working to legitimize it for well over a decade.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world -2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

The order then explained why the lawsuit would be dismissed. “The Court must now decide whether Plaintiffs have suffered a concrete injury particularized to them, or one certainly impending, that is traceable to the DNC and its former chair’s conduct—the keys to entering federal court. The Court holds that they have not.”

So your link says the lawsuit was dismissed because they couldn't show Bernie lost because of DWS's fuckery. Which is the case. Bernie lost because Bernie lost in addition to DWS's fuckery. He lost in other years without the fuckery too. And to put too fine a point on it, he's an Independent, not a Democrat.

Democrats are not a viable alternative to fascism, they have been working to legitimize it for well over a decade.

What a load of shit.

[–] Seasm0ke@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Sorry but what do you call donating money to fascists, buying their ads, supporting their PACs, and voting for their platform if not legitimizing fascism?

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Overly simplistic and deliberately misleading.

[–] Seasm0ke@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I guess in your mind there is no reason why multiple concrete actions taken to slide us into fascism and support right wing extremism should be considered nuance.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

"actions taken to slide us into fascism" is nonsense.

You can describe in detail one of those actions, and that'd possibly be valid - depending on the action you're describing.

"supporting right wing extremism" is deliberately miscontextualized. Presuming you're talking about the 'pied piper' strategy. If "supporting right wing extremism" is referring to something else, then it's just miscontextualized.

[–] Seasm0ke@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

It is an accurate assessment of the result of the pied Piper strategy. The context in this case is a distinction without a difference. Feel free to claim good intentions all you'd like on their behalf. It is a waste of breath considering the results.

Whether the dems manslaughtered their way into it vs Republican murder, the veneer of legitimacy the government had was killed off. Whatever strategic excuse is drummed up, the DNC funded the campaigns of right wing extremists and are clearly culpable for their wins alongside the Republican conservative base. I blame the DNC with my whole chest for their hand in creating the conditions that enabled a fascist populat movement while stifling the left.

Yeah, it's a good thing Trump won and is going to cancel elections. Now that people don't have any hope through traditional channels, we can have a communist revolution.

[–] Seasm0ke@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

I am not so optimistic that socialism will win in an American civil war. Its all bad for this country

[–] SoftestSapphic@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

This sadly isn't going to happen.

The american people will stand around and hold signs like the neolibs tell them until their bank accounts run out and then they'll slither back to their wage slave jobs because all the food in town is sent in on 3 trucks that are controlled by Kroger executives

Your GRU channels are overextended, what with having to attack Canada and France too.
