Dying is not a task, dying is a condition

[โ€“] bobs_monkey@lemm.ee 64 points 3 days ago

Not with that attitude

[โ€“] baduhai@sopuli.xyz 16 points 3 days ago

Well, it can be both.

Wouldnโ€™t death be the condition?

[โ€“] voracitude@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

"Death" would be the noun, "die" the (intransitive) verb. "Dead" would be the adjective, i.e. the condition.

Although it has to be said that there's a lot of flexibility and I'm pretty sure you could find valid ways to use each of them in all cases.

Seppuku is a task
