Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (eg non binary) is welcome
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever. 4( No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.

It’s the usual not being taken seriously.

Oh, ugh, I hated that part of working in tech. Double-whammy here: vagina-bearer and in marketing. I had to push back on that so often…

It's so frustrating! I didn't have a vulva until two years ago, but always been a woman. So often people just speak over you.

The best one is when men who don't do the same job as you start explaining your job to you :') happened multiple times both in composition and community work :')

People speaking over me has indeed always been a thing, both before and after transitioning. The mansplaining otoh started after I came out and started hrt.

Yeah, especially the techobro-ascended managers who kept trying to tell me how to do the job I went to fucking university to learn.
