They are minority in senate and congress so not sure what you’re expecting here.
At least not vote for cabinet picks.
Can't be filibustered, and as was the case with Pete Hegseth even if every Dem said NO and even 3 Republicans said NO they still had enough votes to appoint them.
It was kind of a "choosing the devil you know" situation.
Then, all Dems should say no.
Do or don't, it doesn't matter.
Optics matter, regardless of how much it helps. Why do you think Elizabeth Warren is doing this stunt? How much difference do you think it made? When Dems vote with Republicans after all the heinous shit they've shown this year, they are failing to stand for their principles. OTOH, if Warren didn't do this stunt, no one would actually complain or criticise her.
So you think all Democrats are compromised and that Warren should be criticized for speaking out against Trump?
You don't exactly have the optics of the resistance yourself, my dude.
Nope, I'm saying performative actions are performative actions, but one type shows to the voters how united Dems are against fascism, and the other doesn't. You are way too supportive of the latter and dismissive of the former, which makes me suspicious of your own agenda.
My agenda is to give people confidence in the Democratic Party and remove as many Republicans as possible. Building up our allies to stand against our enemy.
Dismissing the importance of showing the voters how they stand against fascism is not how you give people the confidence in the Democratic Party, it's how you keep them from winning the next election. Its these types of performative action that only relies on talk and not action is what will keep the Democrats from regaining the lost trust from the voters.
There is no possible action, as we've already discussed that in depth in this thread. The only action was and is to elect more democrats.
I've already said what they should do and you've already dismissed it. Now you're pretending there is no possible action to take. Its either you can't read or are being willfully ignorant, not to mention how you never addressed my main point. It's apparent how talking to you never resulted in a productive discussion.
You can keep letting Democrats as a whole pretend to care about their voters while excusing every bad thing they ever did and I'll just watch America slide into fascism as voters continue to lose trust in the DNC.
I'm sorry that you think your nothing is better than their nothing.
