Stop calling it "food", FFS.
A friend of mine calls this tier of cuisine "biomass".
"Biomass" implies organic origins — precisely what this shit lacks, in general. 🤢
For example, Taco Bell was long ago restricted from referring to their taco stuffing as "meat" as it had/s lower than 20% "meat" by volume. (and even that's below "prison grade" — which is already below dog food)
So, they call it "taco filling", and people still slurp it down like always. Fucking morons.
What should we call it "fast consumables"?
A Food-like Product
Overprocessed consumables.
I don't think that rolls off the tongue as well as fast food. Maybe it's the alliteration.
The simple fact that we've accepted their engineered insinuation of "food" is why it's still an industry — dying as it may be, lately. The entire species'd be better off if global gen pop wasn't such a fuckin' crab bucket of slack-jawed idiocy. gestures at certain others here 🤷🏽♂️
But I mean it's a question of how you define food at that point. How would you define food?
Nutrition/nourishment is a zero-tolerance requirement.
Fast food, et al, has lobbied against this and other fundamental aspects of the term for ages — to the point now that we're apparently discussing differences in "personal definitions" of the basic linguistic term.
I mean, fuck. What is and what isn't "food" is such a baseline at every level (ie. micro to macro) that the vast majority of organic life doesn't riff on the tableture — let alone do so with fanboi frothy zeal and only the assurances of randos trying to pitch the squawk of shit as "music".🤦🏼♂️
You are what you eat, friends. Do better. You don't have to be shit. 😘
As bad as it is for you a Big Mac does have nutrition. There are things like protein and calcium in there.
Gatekeeping food, of all things? Lol
"Gatekeeping" is the best you can come up with? FFS. You deserve to eat the trash they tell you is "food". Jog on, son. 🤌🏼
Always boggles my mind how much people will defend fast food. Say something bad about taco bell and people will have your head on a stick, even though it's so gross.
Yes, I too am confused when people like different flavors than I do. How can they not be me? I'm me, they should be me, too.
Yeah, it's a "flavor" thing.
FYI: The "false equivalency" fallacy is the laziest of them all. Maybe you'd do better not eating shit. 🥲
Maybe you'd do better minding your own plate and let others eat what they want.
What you call a "plate" seems more likely a trough, citizen. Enjoy.
Next.
This is a weird thing to care so much about.
FWIW, I'm not defending "fast food" in any way. 🤢🙇🏽♂️
