Does anyone know if dual citizens are able to leave Israel given the lock down?
So far I’ve found some law firm’s statement, which is implies that they can’t, at least not by air.
They didn’t elaborate on whether dual citizens can leave by land. I imagine the computers at border crossings would know if someone is an Israeli citizen, even if they present a foreign passport.
My understanding of the releases is that if you hold Israeli citizenship they are refusing to let you evacuate even if you have some other citizenship. This understanding would be consistant with how the UN and most countries treat Dule Citizenship, when you are in a country you have citizenship, for any case domesticly you are only a citizen of the one nation.
