I think the advantage these planes have is that they are difficult to detect and are able to carry heavy (and nuclear) bombs. Their disadvantages is that they are vulnerable to enemy aircraft and mostly rely in hiding their signature to stay on. They are costly as well, and for this reason the USAF only has a few dozens.
