Although, I thought I was on the right track to progress the game, I ended it accidently. So I'm wondering if I missed some que at some point, or made the wrong decision. I honestly don't know. I mean, I don't think I made it through Act II. So, without spoiling anything, I'd just like to warn my fellow players, that everyone saying there are thousands of possible endings, might indeed be true.

So, think hard about choices made. The ending I received was very... anti-climatic. I didn't want to reload and backtrack, or make different choices. So I started anew. Pay attention to your companions, even if they're obnoxious, and overly horny.

I think this is the most RPG game in the history of RPGs....

overly horny

They are really not if you don't pick those conversation choices. Don't treat them like fuckbuddies and they won't be so horny, I think that this reflects more how you play the game than how they are.

Disagree. I barely had Gale in my party and he tried to initiate a romance 3 times.

Not to mention Lae'zel.

Lae'zel only tried once with me, and Gale once I turned him down only had the starry night scene, where as a friend you give him emotional support because his god asked him to do an hero and that's fucked up.

Yeah, this is just plainly untrue. All it takes is getting their approval anywhere beyond medium (for some even that's not required) and doing their specific personal quest objectives and they are down to fuck IMMEDIATELY. Ironically in my playthrough, despite not once giving them any signals I'm down, the only companion who didn't try to bone down with me was Karlach, the most openly horny one.

I think much of this stuff is still a little bit broken. I barely began a 3rd run through after finishing twice, and those two other times I only got easy, random sex with Lae'zel for my masculinity and Wyll because... IDK. I barely even talked to that dude and suddenly I catch him dancing and he wants to bang.

The people I want to fuck don't give me the time of day, and their approval was maxed out. In the carnival, there's a thing that you can use to find out how close a companion feels about you. I took gale and he was apparently down to clown, but I never actually got any options that led to an encounter.

Plus, between the first two runs, what scenes played and when were totally different. Even without changing much about how I chose things or the order I did them, even minor things like when Gale decides to eat a magic item or when Lae'zel and Shadowhart would argue happened seemingly at random.

At this point, I believe both sides of the horniess argument are true. Some people got stonewalled, others got the pansexual harem.

I swear, all I thought I was doing was being nice. Nothing I'd personally consider sexual or anything. Like helping them with their issues etc...

[-] fushuan@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

And they show interest in you as a person, but I wouldn't call that horny. Once I turned them down they didn't bother me anymore, and I've been to act 3 3 times already due to failed romances (if you don't have shart in your party in act 1 it's quite hard to raise her approval with just act 2 shadowlands. I tried everything, but nothing, nada.) and maybe 5 times to act 2 too, so I've had plenty of their interactions.

Think of it this way. If you weren't there they wouldn't have even gotten together as a group, they would have been lost or alone and most would have begun their ceremorphosis process since only shadowheart was with the artifact, and that unsociable girl would hardly join with anyone. So you are the glue holding the group together, paying them attention, the only one who's basically tending to their personal needs, and assuming they all find you attractive, I think that it's natural to develop a crush in you, the leader. Then it's a matter of how each one likes their courting and if you are interested.

You can do event 1 and 2 of Gale and turn him down with a sentence that was like "I'm not interested, Gale", which is nowhere near the "Eww you suck" option I've seen everywhere. I think that option shows up with his apparition in the camp? but bby that point if you are a good friend of his, you really should go to see what's up since that scene triggers close to the event with Elminster. Then if he's interested in you you can say no, or if you are already in another relationship, there won't be any sexual trigger or anything, and if you are pursuing him, I recall that the third option was what stated before.

IDK, the bonds you form with your party members feel quite real to me after considerin what they are going through and how are they acting with each other in the situation they are in where nobody is really helping them.

I agree. Reading other people's experiences makes it seem like my game is bugged or something. I turned Gale down once during his magic show and I've been offered a couple of flirty conversation options with other companions that I didn't choose because I wasn't interested in pursuing a romance in them. That's it. Meanwhile, from what I've read, I accidentally locked myself out of the one romance I WAS intending to pursue because I didn't meet Karlach until after I resolved the Druid/tiefling/goblin situation.

So while everyone else is looking for a way to make their party take a cold shower because they can't take a hint, my poor lonely dwarf is just over there pining after Karlach, who never has anything new to say to him, and being ignored by everyone else.

I turned down Gale's magic show and he still confessed his love for me later because apparently the only answer to "we're friends, aren't we?" is either "let's fuck," giggling coyly, or "ew, I hate you." I just wanted to be friends. ):

[-] Absolutemehperson@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Gale doesn't become "friends". Gale bangs.

[-] fushuan@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

They have added another friendly response. In any case, in that conversation I was already in a relationship, 2nd tier, so my options were more friendly.
