I haven't worked in an office since before the pandemic, but back when I did I had super religious republican guy who sat to my left. On his left there was another lefty atheist like myself. 3 years later we had him voting for Biden and doubting his entire faith.

3-4 years of being proven incorrect day in and day out does that I think. Takes persistence. I still keep in contact with the guy actually. He's a really good guy, just was very ignorant on a lot of things. I've heard he's had a lot of arguments with the very conservative side of his family since then.

My mother, on the other hand, nearly 80 years old and completely brainwashed. No amount of persistence would ever work on her. Unfortunately, I think thats the reality for the majority of the MAGA idiots.
