Just politicians wanting to control corruption watchdogs, so they can be corrupt.
He has reversed that.
It's tricky because it could be both things. Russia excels at subverting well-intentioned rules.
Worth noting that he also signed into law the earlier revocation of the independence of those anti-corruption watch dogs.
It's good that he's reversed course on this. But concerning that he was willing to sign the first bill. Perhaps it's just a sign of the strain he's under, I don't know.
The people spoke it was reversed. That's how it should work. Not trying to ensure you get it 100% right all the time.
