I once saw somebody suggest voice training during FPS games and my immidiate response was "What the fuck is wrong with you, do you want to INCREASE trans kid suicides?!". Like, yes, you will get honest feedback, but it will largely be from dickheads who have no sympathy.

To be fair, if you have the mental to handle and wade though the dick heads.

You will NEVER get more honest feedback then from a random TF2 or cod lobby.

You WILL learn what to improve on and EXACTLY what you sound like to others with zero filter.

that is probably being suggested because it's what Zhea Erose did, she did a lot of voice practice playing Counter-Strike online and made dramatic progress in that time.

She's so influential in the trans voice training scene that I'm fairly confident that's the reason this advice is shared. To be honest, I think it's good advice if you have made enough progress on your voice, and yeah, assuming you have a thick skin and are looking for earnest impressions of your voice.
