Max Payne (2008) starring Mark Wahlberg—on Blu-ray.The last time I saw this, I watched it on an iPod hooked up to a CRT TV (yeah, remember when that was a thing?). Not exactly the best way to experience a movie.Still, I’ve always loved the Max Payne games. Easily some of the best third-person shooters ever made. That’s why I’m giving the movie another chance.The reviews were never kind, and I wasn’t impressed back then either. But maybe, just maybe, the Blu-ray will do it some justice.@movies
The thing is people expected it to be like the games. If you do not consider the games and keep this separate, it's a great film!
