Just when you thought it couldn’t get any weirder, Peter Thiel has announced plans to deliver a four-part lecture series on the Antichrist. These unusual events will take place at the Commonwealth Club of San Francisco on four days in September and October.

Thiel, one of the most influential tech billionaires of our time, seems intent on forcing us to discuss the Antichrist. He is clearly trying to make a point. But what is that point?

Thiel’s lecture series won’t provide any clues to the public—it’s off the record. He’ll be delivering his lectures to an exclusive group of Antichrist-curious tech acolytes in a highly-controlled atmosphere.

Here’s the thing: this isn't really about religion. It’s about power and politics, wrapped in theological language. Thiel has long been fascinated with political theorist Carl Schmitt's ideas about “political theology”—the notion that all significant political concepts are secularized theological concepts.

not exactly defenestrated, but very similar his timing of his death after voicing his concern over thiels continuing support and attack on anti-lgbqt+ rhetoric and initiatives through the gop. he fell from a high rise after voicing his concern over this, and due to "personal issues, so suicide".

You ask why, he doesnt just Leave THiel? if your so depressed? something else he knows about thiel that thiel doesnt want revealed, let alone; probably doesnt want to be int he news " thiel being gay, supports homophobic laws" or something else. how do you leave someone that has much more power than you do, just like a woman who wants to leave an abuser but dont?

thiel could probably ruin the bf life if he had not suicided, and left, to prevent him from going to press to give a tell all article to the news. its pretty fishy.

the last thing thiel wants is press on him being gay, and doing something shady, like with gawker, thats why he funded HUlk hogans lawsuit, he had a vendetta.

because right wingers dont tolerate gays at all.

My one solace in the coming climate/water wars, is that Pete is going to likely be tortured and murdered by his private military. Once the government he wants to destroy is gone, what's to stop the people with weapons to just be like "lol,no!" to his orders?
