I think i'm pretty conflict about this tbh. In one hand i'm starting to slow down or at least getting better at allocating my free time as its slowly shrinking. Nowadays i just want to chill with my cats or work on stuff while having video running in the background. I don't mind taking time to do stuff or be patient about waiting.
In the other hand i also dropped two game as i have no patient to finish it, but still, i think it's fair to drop it once the game run it course. Games require your full attention and as you grow older, you will have less time to allocate to videogame, and if the game need a long time to finish, then no harm dropping it. I couldn't finish Grounded because the final fight requires me to build a whole new base in a new place, which is incredibly tedious. I couldn't finish They Are Billions despite my initial praise, each mission require you to spend around 70 to 90 minutes, and they will not tell you what to prepare for, failing a mission mean you need to pour another 70 to 90 minutes in. That's a lot of time required just to finish the game if all added up.
But despite that, I still kinda agree though, that everyone basically have no patience anymore, video have to be short, stuff need to be made quick, food need to arrive quick, info need to come quick and be processed quick, car need to be driven fast. slowing down really helps me with any fomo i might have and decrease my anxiety, i just don't care about the latest and newest stuff because shit will be forgotten after a month or so anyway and people would move on to the latest and newest stuff.
