How? Which writers are on this? I thought they were all striking...
The production cycle for animation is ridiculously long and writing is at the very beginning of it. It’s possible that all the writing was done long before the strike started.
Yep, Robert Kirkman did it all back between 2003 and 2018.
Not the same thing as writing the scripts.
Doubly so considering parts of the story got changed, shifted around and no longer match the comics.
It's animation. The writing had to have been done right after the first season finished production. Most if not all the work being done now is likely all editing and compositing work.
The writing is long done. Then comes the voice actors, then the animation.
How long do you think an animated show takes to produce? The strike has only been going for four months.
They are probably going to just do a flip book of the comic at 0.5 fps and some background sounds
