Yep, I've replaced the YouTube app with a shortcut to YouTube on Firefox mobile, and I've relegated the official YouTube app to the "app hell" folder.
you can likely just disable the app
Yeah, I'll probably uninstall it eventually. I'm keeping it around for a couple of months in case I need it, but haven't gone back to it so far.
