Not if you sort by active. Active reliably results in posts with a ton of discussion happening, being on top.

Memes and porn aren't known for amassing hundreds of comments, so much as upvotes.

But active shows you 2 days old posts too. On the other hand sorting by hot shows you NSFW posts or memes with 2 upvotes and 0 comments for some reason.

That's the whole point of active, posts stay up there as long as there are still people talking in the comments. It's so much better than reddit that just chokes out all discourse the second a piece of content is "too old"

Which is great until the same post from 2 weeks ago has been the top of your active feed in home or local.

I honestly much preferred the Reddit method of once it’s a day old, move on.

Even if you do, why advocate for depriving those of us who like it of it? Just use a different sort or request more sort options in a github issue.
