How is that a win? I, among many other people, am now forced to use windows to play my favorite game. I am not going to stop playing so the only choice is to stop using Linux.

@Chadus_Maximus @_Sprite Personally I go the opposite way... If a game stops working on Linux, I stop playing it... There are too many enjoyable games in the world to stick to just one ๐Ÿ˜…

Same. Bye Riot, would have spent thousands more on your terrible game but you shot yourself in the foot.

Pretty sure it was a joke cause league bad haha. I stopped playing when it stopped working on my system. I hate myself but not enough to install windows just to play league

If your favorite game requires a rootkit to be played, you install it?

Of course. I don't care if they have my data or not. The only thing I am not willing to give them is my money, because the game sucks RN.

A rootkit could obtain enough information to cost you money. Paypal accounts, banking accounts, etc. A rougue riot employee (or a vendor company, or someone exploiting it) with malicious intent could harness that capability with negative consequences.

League players are such a special breed. "I don't enjoy this game but I refuse to stop playing and will willingly switch to an entirely different operating system so I can continue to not have fun."

You do know that you're allowed to just not keep playing, right?
