Disney has a lot of conduct clauses in their contracts. Or at least they used to years ago when a couple friends worked for them.

I performed at Disney World in my high school chorus and my contract had conduct clauses.

It also gave them the right to use my image and voice "in perpetuity and throughout the universe."

Oh man, how many images of high schoolers etc. does Disney have the license for? That's an AI training treasure trove right there.

This was back in the 90s so they probably weren't thinking about it, but I'm sure there are some grainy digital photos of me somewhere they'd use.

As for the how many of them: We performed at their Christmas Extravaganza or whatever, and there were probably 200 kids in the chorus. We only performed twice on one day, but since it runs every day for three months, that's a lot of kids they got to sign the contract.

But hey, free trip to Disney with my friends so that was nice. Our accapella version of Bad Touch was a big hit.

universe

"Uh, I'm gonna need you to specify this universe, or all possible universes - yeah in writing - no, I haven't been to any other universes but jeeze, "through-out" isn't exactly explicit and - hello? hello?"

Nah that's a legit clause. It also reserve to Disney a license to your publicity in any medium, tangible or intangible, now known or unknown. Common language for entertainment contracts.

[-] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

so you're saying it covers all universes?
