Yea it probably won't fill that void adequately.

But doesn't that also make the assumption that they want to fill that void instead of scale back how many trek shows they are producing.

I guess they're in a sort of catch-22 situation. They need Star Trek to keep people subscribing but Star Trek is more expensive than they can afford.
