That may be false, but Biden has called abortion a states right issue for decades
Wow, it's like people can change their views over time. Who knew? It's call growth, something you seem to be lacking.
PSA: @anticolonialist@lemmy.world is a troll account. Whenever you see this pathetic waste of a person comment, call the parasite out. They are only here to stir up bs and spread misinformation.
It's called PR, the same way that liberals hated GW Bush, and now love him because he gave Michelle a candy and went to baseball games with Ellen. Your view has been manipulated and manufactured for you.
When they do the same for Trump and white wash his history your view of him will change. Despite all their talk he is one of them.
✋Still hate Bush.
Also, your example lacks parallel. Bush going on Ellen is not the same as Biden changing his position on policy.
His perceived change in position has been manufactured like the change in opinion of Bush
How is it manufactured? He changed his position. That’s different than someone making it appear as if he had.
Changing the language, but keeping the policy isn't progress
SCOTUS overturned Roe v. Wade thanks to Trump’s conservative appointments. Biden is in support of abortion legalization, but is not empowered to enact its enshrinement as a national right.
Dems promising for 50 years to fix it and doing nothing is what caused roe to get overturned.
That's more of the fault of Obama than Biden, although it is fair to partially blame his inaction since he was still in the admin. Appealing to Republ*cans and "they go low, we go high" has usually been how Democrats roll, but Biden has changed that attitude a decent amount in his presidency while still successfully driving some bipartisan successes.
Biden heavily campaigned on codifying roe in 2020 too.
Congrats you captured a total of zero people with this description.
In 2009 Bush had a 6% approval rating among democrats
In 2018 it was At 54%
