Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.

So when the Red Cross creates shelters for hurricane victims in the Southern and Eastern States, do you call them traffickers, and fascists? Sometimes people deserve to have a safer option on where they live.
Also, cussing out an internet stranger and calling her a fascist makes you look unstable.
Amazing that you think creating shelters for Americans displaced by natural disaster is in any way comparable to forcibly deporting asylum seekers to Europe because the Pope called us out.
Disaster relief isn't human trafficking, obviously. Trafficking asylum seekers to another continent absolutely is.
People are coming to our country begging for help, and your solution is to kick them out and ship them thousands of miles away. If you take offense to being called a fascist, consider not being one.
No, that isn’t my solution. I never said they would be shipped. They aren’t being shipped to America. They have seen an opportunity and have migrated here themselves. If Italy offered an opportunity, then they would probably migrate there, as well. They wouldn’t dare stow away on a boat to mainland China and demand that their country care for them, and provide for them. Many countries have laws against illegal immigration. America does, too, but no one respects the laws in America. Everyone picks and chooses which laws they want to demand be enforced and they want herd immunity for the ones they break. Migrants could cross the border with a passport and ask for asylum. That wouldn’t be illegal immigration.

We were talking about Vatican City, not Italy. They are different countries (regardless of what you may think). Italy is 116,631 square miles. Vatican City is 0.17 square miles (686,064x smaller).
These migrants are so destitute that they are fighting malnutrition and exhaustion to trek on foot across Central America and Mexico to the US southern border. You really think they're apt to buy plane tickets to Europe? What are you fucking smoking?
Seeking asylum isn't illegal immigration. Turning asylum seekers away is against international law.
No clue what you mean by "herd immunity" (a medical term), but "choosing which laws are enforced" has a name: it's called "Democracy". It's pretty cool, you should read about it sometime.
That is literally what they are doing, maybe minus the passport part, but you don't need one to seek asylum. Requiring one, as mentioned before, would be a violation of international law.
Honestly, you really need to better understand what you are talking about before speaking further on any of this. You don't seem to know the difference between immigration and asylum seeking, and you characterize these migrants as being "Mexican", when the vast majority are from Central America. You don't know the difference between the European countries you think should help us shoulder the burden of helping refugees from countries that WE DESTABILIZED! Fuck, you can't even spell the word "border" (a common trait amongst racist anti-immigration folks - ignorance was never a big fan of proper spelling).
You just seem to have a hateful opinion of the Latin American refugees that ask us for help, and want to brainstorm ways to keep them out of the country...

I happen to know quite a bit about asylum seeking. I have sought asylum in Ireland in the past. Doing so required a passport. It also requires being fingerprinted because you ARE technically breaking the law. You’re required to overstay your passport limits while the application is being processed. I am guessing you have never applied for asylum in a foreign country.
When Americans are upset over UNDOCUMENTED migrants, they are referring to people who are crossing the border illegally, without a passport. Entering the United States as a non-citizen, without a passport IS a crime.
My apologies for making a typo, but if that typo bothers you, how are you going to handle a group of migrants who can’t write the English language? You don’t seem like a patient and understanding person. I hope these migrants aren’t forced to take up residence near you.
