If you live in the USA, vote blue. If you live in the UK, vote greens or Lib Dem/SNP. If you live in Australia, vote greens. If you live in Mexico, ... Fuck, you dudes are actually doing alright, bueno.

FPTP countries are in dire need of an electoral reform, tbh

I remember voting lib dem back in 2010.

They immediately propped up the Tories.

Fuck the lib dems.

Can't say I'm well versed in UK politics going back over a decade, sadly, but if some people would rather choose between Lib Dem and Tories then I'd want them to vote Lib Dem. At least their climate change goals are better.

If you live in Malaysia, you're fucked either way but never go Green.

Yea, vote green and if you only have no green party then you probably need to reform your election system... But first, inform yourself about the basics on election systems https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqs5ohhass_RN57KWlJKLOc5xdD9_ktRg&si=qW8Imga8bgD1dV4D

Brilliant so vote for the liberal cunts

Capitalism got us into this problem

[-] FiniteBanjo@lemmy.today 6 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

Lmao, in that case you can write in a name of the magical unicorn politicians then and let the candidates who want to pass reform lose to conservative corporate shills until we all retreat underground. Have fun contributing to immediate death of all mankind as opposed to voting for the "liberal cunts." Dumbass.

the party I am a member of has several candidates running in general election so while I know labour will get in I also know my vote will be useful in getting benches for my party members. From the UK btw cunt.

Discussion of climate, how it is changing, activism around that, the politics, and the energy systems change we need in order to stabilize things.

As a starting point, the burning of fossil fuels, and to a lesser extent deforestation and release of methane are responsible for the warming in recent decades: Graph of temperature as observed with significant warming, and simulated without added greenhouse gases and other anthropogentic changes, which shows no significant warming

How much each change to the atmosphere has warmed the world: IPCC AR6 Figure 2 - Thee bar charts: first chart: how much each gas has warmed the world. About 1C of total warming. Second chart: about 1.5C of total warming from well-mixed greenhouse gases, offset by 0.4C of cooling from aerosols and negligible influence from changes to solar output, volcanoes, and internal variability. Third chart: about 1.25C of warming from CO2, 0.5C from methane, and a bunch more in small quantities from other gases. About 0.5C of cooling with large error bars from SO2.

Recommended actions to cut greenhouse gas emissions in the near future:
