The way I survive my shitty internal thought processes is essentially this, but I think of it more as fatalism.
Things be as they be and usually there ain't shit fuck all I can do about it, so I accept that.
It's good and healthy to accept that some things are outside your control, but only for things that actually are. If you start applying that mentality to things where you aren't actually helpless, it could hurt your self-esteem over time.
I will keep that in mind.
