Gotta thank the Kremlin for making a list of good European news websites. On second thought, weird that they block cnews.fr. The Dutch and German lists make sense though

Interesting that the list states that one could still read news from German public service broadcasters as ARD, ZDF or government news as DW.

Possible, but then the title of the post leaves room for improvement.

Is says "on", not "as of", so it's fine.

[-] 9point6@lemmy.world 16 points 4 months ago

Now here I am concerned that nothing from the UK made his shit list.

Any country with a good number on this list should feel proud tbh

[-] yemmly@lemmy.world 18 points 4 months ago

It appears to just be EU countries on the list.

The post should be renamed as The incomplete list of European news websites blocked by Russia on the 25th of June 2024

[-] lnxtx@feddit.nl 8 points 4 months ago

Is there a list for the other continents?

[-] AdNecrias@lemmy.pt 5 points 4 months ago

This is EU only. Not all of Europe is included even.

@MrAlagos Guess I found some reputable news outlets.

Edit: Thanks Captain Obvious for the endorsement (whoever upvoted/liked knows).

Cenorship-resistant protocols like ActivityPub (Lemmy, Mastodon), Nostr, Tor, I2P, and freenet solve this.

[-] levzzz@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago

Will continue getting my news from Lemmy, then

[-] bokster@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 4 months ago

Just FYI. Both news sites that are blocked in Slovenia are well know for being quite (far?) right news outlets.

So your mileage may vary.
