OK, yesterday at Costco, pallets of Christmas. Not just Christmas stuff but horrible looking decorations. Also, anyone else think Costco is becoming Sam’s Club with pallet after pallet of food products that are all sweets and carbs? More and more I have to beeline to products I need, close my eyes and get tf out. Anyone else feeling this?

Everyone wants to talk about the war on Christmas but nobody wants to admit that Christmas is the aggressor.

Thanksgiving is already lost - Black Friday ensured that years ago. Halloween is the bulwark. Support spooky season!

It's the reason I stopped with Christmas and other 'holidays' that has been officially raped by the corporate dick. I don't buy stuff because companies sell it anymore. It's a waste. Spend time with family, and eat good food. No reason to buy that crap. Changes nothing.

Well one of the reasons anyways.

I don't know about the rest of your post, but yes Christmas being 3 months long is insane. That's a quarter of the year. I might actually enjoy Christmas if we could limit it to only December.

I know it can be irritating but depending on the size of the event we might start planning a year in advance. Used to help run a decorated Christmas tree auction to benefit a homeless shelter. A lot of our volunteers are making or collecting ornaments all year and starting to put everything together in October, with the bulk of their purchases starting in September. We usually raise 150k USD annually at the event.
