Man it was so easy to straight up murder people back then.

Kristin Smart was raped and killed in a college dorm room and buried in the killers mom’s backyard in the same town with a fresh concrete porch poured right after the disappearance.

The university and local police covered it up and the case sat cold for 20 years until public pressure from a viral podcast got the feds involved and convicted the original suspect.

…and when the FBI dug up the hills around the university searching for her remains, they found many different human remains buried.

They weren’t Kristin’s remains though.

It doesn't say anything about contacting the boyfriend, Eric, or his family.

She has two tattoos on her hip/thigh area (unknown which leg). The first tattoo is of her boyfriend’s initials and the second is the initials of her college sorority (initials unknown).

How would the leg with tats be unknown if the bf's initials were on one and they spoke with him? Oh well, not something I'm trying to hunt down. Just an interesting case to read about.
